Wichita, Kansas -- Conservative outsider, Wink Hartman, announced today a five-point ethics reform plan targeting career politicians. The plan focuses on preventing career politicians from abusing taxpayers to their own benefit.

"Career politicians have turned Topeka into a corrupt, tax hiking embarrassment," said Hartman. "As a lifelong businessman and the only outsider in this race I understand it will not be easy to get Kansas back on the right track. I’m fed up with career politicians exploiting Kansans and have a five point approach that will end the culture of corruption in Topeka."

Wichita, Kansas -- Wink Hartman, conservative outsider for Kansas governor, issued the following statement following the Kansas Supreme Court ruling on Gannon V:

Unelected judges should not be deciding Kansas’ budget, let alone the finances of our educational system. The people of Kansas and our children deserve accountability. As the only outsider and non-career politician running for governor, I know we need a strong voice that will stand up to these liberal judges.  If the judges want to have a say in school finance they should run for state representative or state senate and respect the Kansas Constitution.

Kansas’ next governor may appoint three or more new judges and we can’t afford more liberal judges legislating from the bench. I’ve spent my entire life putting the right people in the right place to succeed and as governor, I’ll appoint conservative justices who respect our Constitution.

Wichita, Kansas -- Wink Hartman, a native Kansan and small-businessman, today announced the launch of his campaign for Governor. Hartman, a conservative Republican, will immediately begin campaigning for the nomination to be decided in the 2018 Republican Primary.

“I’m a businessman – not a politician,” Hartman said. “As a businessman, I’ve watched the dysfunction in Topeka with increasing frustration. Instead of finding solutions, Topeka is causing problems. Instead of providing stability for Kansas families, farms and businesses, Topeka is creating uncertainty. Most importantly, instead of improving the quality of life for Kansans, Topeka is making things more difficult. I’m running for Governor because it’s time to fix Topeka and that’s exactly what we’ll do.”
